Join Aaron Kes, Manager, as he explains his method of using flash, and how a simple approach can lead to creative results.

He will walk you through many ways you can use speedlights and the benefits of graduating to larger strobes.

Live Demo and Hands On. At the workshop, we will do some practical lighting and analyze how he made some of his favorite flash shots from his freelance career. 

·         We will cover techniques like bounce lighting,

·         hard vs soft light,

·         shutter dragging,

·         lighting modifiers and how they shape light,

·         and even choosing the right light for you.

Aaron spent over a decade freelancing full-time as a photographer, covering everything from weddings and portraits to corporate and commercial clients. Since joining Dodd Camera, he has expanded his flash repertoire to include product shots and more.  For much of his career he used one or two speedlights and little else.
