Bylaws
Purpose:
The Ohio Valley Camera Club aims to offer its members opportunities for photography, training, socializing, and inspiration. Membership is open to photographers only.
Non-Discrimination:
We welcome members regardless of religion, gender, race, or sexual orientation.
Member Conduct:
Behavior: Members must act in the club’s best interest. Harmful behavior, Slander, or libel against the club or its members can result in immediate membership revocation.
Advocacy: Advocacy is not allowed, except for:
o Selling camera equipment in our Flea Market section.
o Exhibiting personal photographic work as an Event Member.
o Club-promoted seminars and workshops.
Club Resources and Activities:
Club Assets: Members shall not burden the club’s assets. Violations may lead to suspension or loss of membership.
Event Posting: Only pre-approved organizers can post events. Unauthorized postings may result in suspension or loss of membership.
Activity No-Shows: Members who sign up for events but fail to show without canceling at least 48 hours in advance may face:
o A six-month wait-list priority loss after two infractions within a year.
o A one-year wait-list priority loss for additional infractions.
Dues: Members must be current on dues to participate in meetups. Non-
payment results in forfeiture of membership.
