Welcome to the November SHOOT AND DEBRIEF – FALL HAPPENINGS!

This session will be an opportunity to share your photos from Fall Happenings such as holiday decorations, foods, hayrides, pumpkin patch fun, festivals, football games, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.

Between now and Tuesday, November 30th – enjoy taking photos at the many fun events which happen in the Fall.

FALL HAPPENING photos should not be pure “nature” photos, those should be included in the October Shoot and Debrief Session.

Tuesday, November 30th, by midnight, upload a maximum of 3 images.

Thursday, December 2, 6:30 to 7:30 DEBRIEF SESSION Online

Up to 3 Images to be posted by midnight Tuesday, November 30, per the following instructions:

  1. Resize photo:
  • Resolution 72
  • Horizontal Images 1440 pixels wide OR
  • Vertical Images 930 pixels highTo upload your photos,
  1. Rename your file:
  • #1 for first priority, #2 for second priority and #3 for third priority.
    Based on the number of participants we may need to limit the
    number of photos shown during the debrief. #3 would be dropped
    for all participants in this case.
  • Last Name, then First Initial (for example – Bader, H)
  • Title of image
  1. Give camera setting information:
  • Lens used (for example 70-200mm) AND focal length of shot (90mm)
  • ISO
  • aperture
  • shutter speed
  • exposure compensation, if used
  • filters, if use
  • post processing techniques of note
  1. Upload your images by navigating to EVENT LISTING, then go to
    PHOTO LINK near the bottom, click and upload images.

Wednesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 2 those participating are asked to review all photos in the album, and formulate questions for the photo creator.

Early afternoon of Thursday, December 2, those registered for the event will receive an e-mail with a link to join the meeting from 6:30 – 7:30.

The meeting will be an open-mic group discussion about the photos captured with the goal of encouraging and helping improve our work.

During these trying times, everyone will be required to wear a mask and allow for social distancing.

Limited to 12 members current on dues.

Upon entering give everyone time to take a shot from the back, before proceeding into the Sanctuary.

Bring a tripod and cable release for higher quality images.

Historic 19th-century church with dramatic architecture, twin towers, stained glass & murals. Timing chosen to take advantage of Christmas decorations which will still be present.

Mother of God Parish is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington, Kentucky. Italian Renaissance Revival structure. The building was dedicated on September 10, 1871. This, their third building, sported a large portico supported by four Corinthian columns, two large towers and a central dome topped with a lantern and cupola. In 1875 a magnificent Koehnken Organ was installed in the church balcony. The official title of the parish is The Assumption of Mary, Mother of God, Parish. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
