TOPIC: Robert Coomer is an internationally recognized, award winning photographer who grew up on a farm in Brown County, Ohio. Art has always ben a part of hist life and in 1994 he graduated with a BS degree in Graphic Design from the UC College of Design, art, Architecture, and Planning.

Whether shooting landscape3s wildlife, or even architecture, Robert strives to capture a sense of place, to tell a story about his subject. His images are environmental portraits that lead the viewer to wonder about the subjects location, its history and even its future. An overall theme of facing americanca comes through in his images, especially his urbex and rurex work, and his steel series Art in Decay. Robert works with several non-profit cavings groups and conservancies that protect karst areas in Kentucky. He is a founding / lifetime member of the Rockcastle Karst Conservancy.
