PRESENTATION: “Abstracting Nature in a Photograph”
“What makes an Abstract? What is an Abstract? These questions and many more are answered in my program on creating abstract images in nature and of natural and other objects. The great thing is that your imagination is the only block in the creative process and nowhere more so than in abstraction. This show is approximately one hour in length plus questions time.”

JUNE MEETING: PAMELA DECAMP: CRITIQUE-BOKEH, PRESENTATION: JUST FOR FUN

Details

Image Above by Pamela Decamp.

This event is limited to either our trial or members current on dues and you may bring up to 2 guests.

REGISTRATION CLOSES 4PM day of our monthly meeting.

COVID-19 Safety: No Mask are currently required.

PRESENTER: PAMELA DECAMP

CRITIQUE: BOKEH
Bokeh photography creates a blur in the out-of-focus area of an image. This technique can produce appealing, professional looking images. It can help your subject stand out to make the emphasis of your photography stand out. You may deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions, accentuating their lens’s bokeh. It is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas.[6] However, bokeh is not limited to highlights; blur occurs in all regions of an image which are outside the depth of field. Bokeh can also be produced during post-production.

PROGRAM: JUST FOR FUN – STUCK IN YOUR CREATIVITY
Have you ever gotten stuck in your creativity? Not sure what to photograph or how to photograph a subject? Photographers or any creative sometimes, are extremely hard on themselves if they fail to produce work they think is worthy or even good.

Stop taking yourselves so seriously! When you are in a funk, drop the K and have Fun!

Pam will review tips and techniques to make photography fun…and creative! Take the time to learn something new and look at things differently!

Submit up to three images in JPEG FORMAT TO: https://ovcc.smugmug.com/upload/Hmcnv6/12345

FINE PRINT: We can only guarantee critiquing your first image IF You Rename Your File Accordingly: it includes FIRST, your priority number 1, 2 or 3.
